Herefordrunner - July 2012 Races

July races have now been added to the site, there is a mixture this month from 10k up to 50k road races, and two tough fell races (I know from experience) and a multi-terrain race   

Pilatus (Dragon Mountain) Lucerne, Switzerland

While on the summit of this mountain in Switzerland I came across a leaflet advertising a marathon that finished on its summit

You are invited to our Dirty Weekend. Following the late cancellation of Mud Runner OBLIVION and OBLIVION JUNIOR on the 29th April 2012, the run is to be rescheduled on Saturday the 30th June and Sunday the1st of July.

Herefordrunner - Results for 2012 Eastnor 7

There were 118 finishers for the 2012 Magnificent Eastnor Castle Seven.

The first man was John Parker of CLC Striders for the third year running, in a time of 40:27 (compared to 40:08 for last year, but the course was different and included a stile this year).
The first woman was Emma Gould of Serpentine Running Club in a time of 49:51.

This Sunday sees the running of this popular event through the Eastnor Castle Estate climbing up to the Malvern Hills Ridge and the Obelisk before a fast decent to the finish. Make it a family day out with a picnic and walk round the park after

HEREFORD COURIERS are proud to present…   THE HEREFORD COURIERS 5KM SERIES
RACE 1: Wednesday 11th April - 7.15pm Start
RACE 2: Wednesday 9th May - 7.15pm Start
RACE 3: Wednesday 13th June – 7.15pm
Venue: Hereford Leisure Centre (Good Parking, Shower and Toilet Facilities, Refreshments)
*Due to the popularity of the event and the Leisure Centre itself, congestion is likely to occur. Opposite the Leisure Centre there is plenty of parking along the service road.*
Course: Accurate, fast, mainly flat, single loop finishing on athletics track.
Course Records: Male – Dan Robinson – 14mins 24secs (2004) … Female – Lucy Wright – 16mins 13secs (2002)
Prizes: Series prize winners in most categories (5 years) depending on numbers, one prize per person.
Results: Will be displayed on the night and on the website asap.
Price: £8 for series (£10 unattached) £3 for single race (£5 unattached)
Entry on Day: Before 6.45pm + £2
